The Color / The Silent Influencer

Color has the power to sell, to sell in a subtle way, in silence and with the power that gives its impact on the human eye. A silent salesman, who has been run by a jury since 2000 and as in a contest of “misses” there is a proclamation of the Color of the Year.

A few years ago at the faculty we were deepening into museums and libraries the theories that Michael Baxandall offered us at his lectures about color at the Renaissance and all his social impact at that time. From these guidelines we designed a map that would guide us to alternative color combinations and its application in the medium.

And the pantonera came… that up to recently was a selective color tool used in graphic arts and that today has been put into the popular market so that it has created a brand so powerful that boxes, bags, candles, chairs, paper and cups… have been “pantonized”.

The directors of pantone have been put up as the “motius of color” and pantone keeps us alert every year to the announcement that will be the Color of the Year, that in the creative world is something as well as the Oscar to the best film.

Colors that are dressed as influencers with literary wrappings that pantone ® Color Institute’s executives use with great mastery to justify their decision at the time of choice.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute defined the King (Coral) color that was elected for 2019:

“Just as coral reefs are a source of sustenance and refuge for sea life, the vibrant but soft pantone 16-1546 Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nutrition to provide comfort and floating in our constantly changing environment”

To select the color “King of the year,” pantone says they are immersed throughout the world with different influences and research from the world of leisure and entertainment to art, analyzing certain socio-economic conditions.

About to get to know what will be color 2020, we get that Laurie Pressman, vice president of the pantone color Institute revealed at “petit committee,” during his visit to the “Sourcinger at Magic” of Las Vegas that pantone colors by 2020 have sea air, that are directly oriented to the sea. That will be a wink to environmental protection?

The blue will be the indisputable king, his courting will be marked by different brown tones that will surely be linked to names as “Soft Brown Almond” or something similar to wrap us with a halo of supreme sophistication. A very important courting “inspired by dry seaweed and drifting wood.” If this combination (that we think will be the turquoise and brown of our lives) turns out something manida, it gives them some touches of a white sand (Caribbean beach type) or seawold green plankton.

To face this diversity of tones with which we have been speculated and while we are expecting the famous choice to come, we have to think that the color trend by 2020 will be defined by the mix and combination of them all.

We will have that new color as “messiah,” will be the mana that falls from heaven and will encircle us for 365 days. We will see this, apart from anything “pantonized,” on the fashion catwalk, in décor, advertising, on and offline graphic, Internet, websites, social networks… and declare ourselves faithful followers of black and white (the most seawold silent influence).

About the blog and its content

Topics, editorial standards and publishing frequency.

The blog is organised into four areas: web design and development, search visibility (SEO, local SEO and GEO), artificial intelligence applied to business, and digital marketing and content. The current priority is AI for business, because that is where search demand is growing fastest: searches related to AI automation have multiplied twentyfold in Spain over the past year, while the sector’s classic vocabulary is falling.

We publish on a regular schedule, prioritising depth over volume. We would rather publish one well-researched article a month, with our own perspective and real examples, than four superficial ones. Content on fast-moving technical topics (AI, Google algorithm changes) is reviewed and updated periodically rather than left to age.

Articles are written and signed by the Creactivitat team. AI tools are used as support for specific tasks — research, data analysis, proofreading — but the judgement, the experience from real projects and the conclusions come from the team. This distinction matters: Google rewards demonstrable experience (E-E-A-T), and readers quickly spot mass-generated content with no real thinking behind it.

Every article shows its publication date and, where it has been revised, the date it was last updated. In a sector where the rules change every few months — especially anything involving AI search engines — an undated article is a warning sign. If you spot something out of date, let us know and we will review it.

Yes. Many articles come from real questions raised by clients or readers. You can send us your suggestion through the contact page. If the question is specific and comes up often, it will likely become an article or a Help Centre entry.

How to use the blog

Navigation, subscribing and reusing content.

The blog is organised by topic categories, not just by date, so you can go straight to the area you need: web design, search visibility, artificial intelligence or digital marketing. If you are looking for a quick, practical answer, the Creactivitat Help Centre is usually faster, because it is structured as questions and answers.

The Help Centre answers specific questions briefly and directly (what SEO is, how a web project works, what GEO is). The blog develops topics in depth: analysis, real cases, industry shifts and informed opinion. If you want a quick answer, go to the Help Centre; if you want to understand a topic thoroughly, go to the blog.
